Dr. Patricia “Patty” Lee Accepts Industry Pioneer Award at QWC 2025

At Quantum World Congress 2025, Dr. Patricia “Patty” Lee, Chief Scientist for Hardware Technology Development at Quantinuum, took the stage to accept the Industry Pioneer in Quantum award.

It’s very easy for me to come up and talk about our amazing hardware and software stack when the team really worked so hard to achieve these technology advancements. … I really want to thank all of you for building this community that allows us to advance quantum computing together.
— Dr. Patricia “Patty” Lee

Dr. Lee used her remarks to spotlight the collective effort that has propelled trapped-ion quantum computing to new heights. She credited the global Quantinuum team and its collaborators across the U.S., Europe, and Asia for pushing technical boundaries and delivering milestone achievements — including the System Model H2 platform’s expansion to 56 all-to-all connected qubits and its world-record Quantum Volume of 33,554,432.

The Quantum Leadership Awards honor individuals and organizations catalyzing measurable progress in quantum science and technology across commercialization, research, policy, and workforce.
