Quantum World Congress Returns: September 22-24, 2026 at College Park, Maryland
After debuting in Washington, D.C. and three groundbreaking years in Tysons, Quantum World Congress takes its next step forward — convening the global quantum ecosystem in College Park at The Hotel at the University of Maryland and the University of Maryland’s campus on September 22–24, 2026.
Quantum World Congress, the world’s premier event uniting the global quantum ecosystem, will return September 22–24, 2026 with programming anchored at The Hotel at the University of Maryland (7777 Baltimore Ave, College Park, MD).
After launching in Washington, D.C. and three transformative years in Tysons, Virginia, the move to College Park, Maryland marks the next leap in Greater Washington’s role as a global quantum hub, and spotlights the University of Maryland’s world-class leadership in research, innovation, and commercialization.
The momentum is accelerating: Microsoft is opening a new quantum research center in the Discovery District, as announced by Governor Wes Moore at QWC 2025. DARPA has partnered with Maryland to establish the Capital Quantum Benchmarking Hub in College Park, a critical infrastructure investment that will evaluate and validate quantum systems for both national security and commercial applications, establishing standardized metrics for the industry.
“College Park is a global center for quantum commercialization. Maryland built the policy environment, investment and partnerships to make it happen. And the Greater Washington region now represents the world’s most dynamic quantum ecosystem, defining what comes next. We look forward to welcoming the world’s quantum leaders back to do more of what matters most — closing deals, forging partnerships, and turning innovation into commerce.”
Anchored by the University of Maryland with assets like the Joint Quantum Institute (JQI), the Joint Center for Quantum Information and Computer Science (QuICS), and the Quantum Technology Center, QWC 2026 will leverage this unique environment to emphasize what the industry needs most: talent development, workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, investment access, and applied innovation.
Quantum World Congress 2026 will bring together global leaders in science, industry, and government for three days of collaboration, keynotes, startup showcases, and cross-sector partnerships.
